Some of our favorite memories began with a plane ticket and ended with stories we’ll cherish forever.
Travel has always been part of our story. It was between NYC and Miami that our story first took flight (thank you, American Airlines!). Ever since, our passports have gotten a few more stamps discovering new countries, living out big adventures (and a few bumps…), but always chasing new dreams — especially with a good glass of wine!
When we began dreaming about our wedding, we realized we wanted to plan much more than a celebration. We wanted to create an experience. Choose a destination where we could not only celebrate our love, but also discover somewhere new alongside the most important people in our lives.
And that’s how we found our way here.

The closest airport is Cape Town International Airport (CPT), about an hour’s drive from the Winelands. We recommend flying in a few days early to settle in and explore before the celebrations begin.

Documentation
Brazilian and US passport holders do not require a visa. Passport must be valid for at least 30 days after departure from South Africa. Need South Africa Traveller Management System (SATMS) before boarding flight

February is high summer in the Cape, with warm, sunny days and cool evenings, so pack layers for after dark. Sunscreen, a sunhat and comfortable walking shoes for the vineyards are all worth bringing.
The local currency is the South African Rand (ZAR). Card payments are widely accepted, but it’s worth carrying some cash for smaller wine farms and markets.
Please check the visa requirements for your passport well in advance of travel, as these vary by country.

In Franschhoek & Stellenbosch, Uber has limited availability during the evening. In Cape Town, Uber works well in the tourist areas.
